Write for us
We take guest pieces from builders, transport writers, compliance people and owner-operators who can teach something a reader will use on a plate, a drawbar or a boat ramp. We do not take filler, spun product copy or anonymous link insertions.
What we publish
- Original work, written for this desk. No reprints, no AI-only drafts, no scraped manuals.
- Australian English and Australian practice: ATM, GTM, tare, ADR, state agencies, 50 mm couplings.
- At least 1,000 words of useful prose, with headings a builder can scan.
- A clear desk: buying, builds, types, regulations, towing or maintenance. See the hub index.
- Sources named. If you quote an ADR or a state rule, link the official page.
What we will not run
- Round-ups that exist to place a brand.
- Exact-match anchor stuffing or hidden outbound links.
- Legal advice dressed up as a workshop tip. Flag uncertainty and point to the agency.
- Photographs you do not have the right to use. We prefer Creative Commons or public-domain images and credit them on the credits page.
How to pitch
Send a 150–250 word pitch, a working title, the hub it belongs in, and two links to writing you have already published. Use the contact form with the topic set to Guest pitch. We reply when a piece fits the desk. We edit for house style, Australian spelling and the editorial standards.
Paid and sponsored links
Independently earned mentions stay unmarked. If a placement is commercially arranged, we disclose it in the article and the outbound link carries rel="sponsored". We do not sell homepage nav slots or footer links. Commercial fulfilment for arranged editorial placements is handled separately by Worldwide Backlinks, which is not the editorial desk and does not write our guides.
After publication
You may link to your piece. You may not republish the full text elsewhere for 90 days. If a fact moves — a brake threshold, a RAV process, a state form — send a correction. We would rather update a live guide than defend a stale paragraph.
